Quandong & Gentian Bitters Liqueur

Description / Tasting Notes:

Quandong’s are a traditional Australian bush tucker. The fruit are found in arid regions of Australia and have historically been an important source of food for the Aboriginal first peoples of Australia. The fruit and trees are greatly valued for the versatility of their medicinal properties. The berries are high in vitamin C and add a beautiful fruitiness to this Liqueur which balances perfectly with a bitterness from Gentian root and Hyssop leaves and subtle hints of bitterness from crushed cherry pips.

Light copper pink colour. Attractive complex aromas of bubble-gum, spiced oranges and peaches, honeysuckle, and banana with a silky, vibrant, bittersweet medium body and a tingling, elegant, very long bitter herbs and barks, circus peanut, smoked pepper, and wormwood tea finish. An outstanding sweet and bitter Liqueur with great depth and exotic flavour.

Delightful Liqueur worth enjoying neat, with soda water or added to specific cocktails.
