Grappa is made by distilling the skins, pulp, seeds, and stems left over from winemaking after pressing the grapes. It was originally made to prevent waste by using these leftovers. Premium Australian Grapes are sourced to achieve this fine Pot still distilled Grappa. This beautiful drink also comes in a lovely hand blown glass bottle in Premium Gift Box.
Pot stilled grape spirit is the basis of this very fine grappa. Tamborine Mountain Distillery Grappa is clear with aromas of panettone, fig paste, and delicate baking spices. A silky, dry-yet-fruity medium body and a lively pepper, mineral and dried fruit nuanced finish.
Bottle should be kept out of direct sunlight and heat. Grappa should be served chilled and is intended to be drunk neat. In Italy, Grappa is mostly served as an after-dinner drink or in the morning with espresso coffee. Grappa makes also a characterful cocktail base.
