We are thrilled to announce that Tamborine Mountain Distillery has been awarded the prestigious title of world's best Brandy at the London Spirits Competition 2023 for their Apricot Brandy.

Judged by London's top bartenders, spirits experts, bar directors, and spirits buyers, this win is a resounding endorsement on a global scale for our small yet passionate distillery.

With more than 4000 submissions from over 80 countries, Tamborine Mountain Distillery was recognized for its outstanding value, packaging, and quality, earning the gold standard in these key merits. This recognition from industry experts, has also been listed by Forbes Magazine in their ‘World's Best Spirits’ publications. Winning the 2023 Brandy if the Year award at the London Spirits Competition is a remarkable achievement for a Distillery business located in the rural Tamborine Mountain, in the beautiful Gold Coast Hinterland.

With over 300 awards, we are proud to be Queensland's oldest craft distillery and the most awarded in the country.

Congratulations to Tamborine Mountain Distillery's Head Distiller, Gordon Chalmers, and owner, Shumei Hou, for their well-deserved acknowledgement on the global stage yet again.

Their unwavering commitment to crafting and offering exceptional Australian made spirits is a testament to the expertise and dedication of this thirty year old Distillery.

This win also highlights the excellence of Australian spirits, with Old Young’s Distillery in WA also being recognized with Gold Medals and awarded best Gin and RTD in the competition.
